Construction on the new Tennis and Pickleball Facility in the North Tahoe Regional Park began in June 2023.
This project will replace the current facility with three new tennis courts and six dedicated pickleball courts.
This project is supported with grant funding from the Placer County Park Dedication Fund, the Placer County Tourism Master Plan Grant Program, and the District’s Recreation Capital Improvement Plan.
This project is scheduled to be completed in Fall 2023.
PROJECT UPDATE: JULY 18, 2023:
Constructions crews have removed the old courts and are now working on the foundational base for the new courts. The time-lapse video below shows the contractor grinding the old asphalt tennis courts in the North Tahoe Regional Park. By grinding up the old courts and reusing the old asphalt, this project is dramatically reducing it’s greenhouse impact from trucking and disposal and reusing the material as the base and foundation for the new courts.
Stay tuned for more project updates through the summer.
