Meet our new Master Gardener:

We are thrilled to welcome our new new NTPUD Recreation Master Gardener – Heather Kenison-Adams!

Heather grew up on a small farm in rural New Hampshire where she started gardening as soon as her little hands could learn how to pull a weed. Her love of all things growing turned into a bachelor’s degree of Soil Science from the University of New Hampshire.

In 2001, she answered the call of the mountains and moved to Tahoe. She has spent the last two decades honing her gardening skills in our harsh mountain climate, toiling in all types of gardens all over the region and teaching gardening classes. In 2019, she pursued her Master Gardener Certification from UC Davis.

Her passion is sharing her knowledge and creating community through engagement with nature.
