Constructed in 2024, the North Tahoe Tennis Courts are the nicest public courts on this side of the Sierra Nevada. Three courts, open seasonally, typically from May-October.

Courts are open seasonally, typically from May through early November.

The North Tahoe Tennis Courts are asphalt courts, featuring shaded benches and California Corners.
Courts are accessed via the Aspen ADA path.
Bounce back ball wall available for practice & self-play.
Lights are available on courts for play at dusk. See FAQ for instructions on how to turn lights on.
Spinshot Pro Tennis Ball machine is available for rent.
Water fountains and bottle filling station available outside courts.

Rates

Tennis Courts 2 or 3 are available for rental on an hourly basis while Court 1 is designated first-come, first-serve. The entire Tennis Facility can be made available for tournaments, fundraisers or commercial events.

Court Rental Instructions

Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance

Courts 2 & 3 are available to rent for a 2-hour block between 7 am–7 pm.
Players shall present their proof of reservation (permit) to any players on the court to secure their space.

Tennis Ball Machine Rental Instructions

Tennis Ball Machine is available: Tuesday-Saturday 8 am-4 pm

The Spinshot Ball Machine is available 7 days/week and located at the courts (outside court #1 gate – see photo below) for easy access. Court reservation is not include with machine rental, and must be completed separately through the facilities tab. To guarantee a court during your rental time, reserve a court. Otherwise courts are first come, first serve. Rental includes: balls (approx. 100), ball hoppers (2), spinshot machine.

Two options:
- Half Day Rental Option (7am-12pm or 1pm-6pm)
- Full Day option (7am-7pm)
Machine Features:
- Horizontal oscillation – switch oscillation on to deliver balls across the full width of the court, or turn the oscillation off for a consistent ball delivery to the same spot.
- Speed 18 – 68mph
- Ball spin – adjustable top spin, back spin or flat shots
- Feed rate – adjustable from 2 to 10 seconds between balls
- Height – set the trajectory of the delivery to achieve any height of ball to practice volleys at the net or smash some lobs
- Hopper capacity 120 balls
Tennis Ball Machine Location:
- Black lock box located next to Court #1 Gate (North side of practice all). Please review the Information sheet located inside the lid of the box before removing the machine from the box. The lock Combo for the storage box will be printed on your receipt.

FAQ

What are the Court rules?

No skateboards, rollerblades, scooters or other wheels on court (wheelchairs, walkers, or other medical equipment allowed).
No food, glass or pets allowed on courts
Children under 12 need adult supervision
Special permits required for tournaments, lessons or other commercial activity.

Do I have to reserve the ball wall?

No, the ball wall is available on a first come, first serve basis.

Do I have to reserve a court?

Court reservations are available but not required. Courts 2 & 3 are available for reservation. If you are playing on Court 2 & 3 and presented with a reservation permit, you must vacate the courts.

How can I reserve the entire tennis facility?

Entire facility rental is available for tournaments, special events or large group play. Email parks@ntpud.org for more information

How do I turn on the court lights?

The tennis and pickleball courts are designed for play during the early evening and not outside of park hours. The light timer is located on the Tennis Court side, next to the drinking fountain. See pictures below.
