Utility Operations Department Responsibilities
The Utility Operations Department is responsible for the maintenance and operations of the District’s Water and Sewer systems.
The Sewer system includes the following assets
- 75 Miles of Gravity Sewer Line
- 6.6 Miles of Sewer Force Main
- 4 Collection Sewer Pump Stations
- 14 Satellite Sewer Pump Stations
- 1720 Sewer Manholes
A variety of service activities are required to maintain and operate District sewer systems

- Dollar Cove (Purchased from Tahoe City Public Utility District) – 25.8 Million Gallons
- Seven (7) Water Tanks with 4.15 Million Gallons of Storage
- Six (6) Pressure Zones
