September 5, 2025 Update: This project is well underway and contractors are working in the lower section of the North Tahoe Regional Park. Please be aware of heavy equipment in the parking lot and surrounding area and avoid areas that are closed off for construction. Please drive slow through the park and watch for construction workers.

Project: This project will extend the Pam Emmerich Memorial Pinedrop Trail, improve accessibility for all users, and connect the trail to North Tahoe Regional Park’s public restrooms, children’s playground, additional facilities, and trail parking areas.
This project will significantly increase public access to the trail and improve pedestrian and bicycle mobility throughout the North Tahoe Regional Park. This project will also drastically reduce the safety hazards associated with trail users having to navigate through a busy, open parking lot to access the trailhead, or the nearby restrooms and other facilities.

Funding:
This project is funded by the TOT/TBID Dollars at Work Programthe Tahoe Fund, and the NTPUD Recreation Capital Improvement Budget.
