Regional Park Parking Fee:

  • $5 on Weekdays (non-holiday)
  • $20 on Weekends and Holidays

Upon arrival to the Park, please pay kiosk attendant or use self-pay stations

Regional Park Hours:

The North Tahoe Regional Park is open from Dawn to Dusk, 365 days a year.

Facility Rentals & Reservations:

Most of the facilities at the North Tahoe Regional Park are available for rent to District residents and the general public. Please visit our Registration and Reservation Website or email [email protected] if you are interested in rental a facility, field, or hosting a special event.

Park Map and Directions:

Located in Tahoe Vista, California at 6600 Donner Road – one mile west of highway 267 and one mile north of Highway 28 – the North Tahoe Regional Park spans approximately 124 acres and offers captivating lake views and a variety of year-round recreation activities for visitors of all ages.

The North Tahoe Regional Park map shows the layout of a 124-acre public park in Tahoe Vista, California. The map highlights recreational facilities, natural areas, trails, and visitor amenities.

Entrances and Roads:

  • The main entrance to the park is on Donner Road, which is accessed via National Avenue.
  • A road runs through the park, providing access to several parking lots and facilities.
  • Parking lots are located near key areas, including the playground, dog park, sports fields, and picnic areas.

Recreational Facilities:

  • Central athletic fields include three baseball/softball fields, one multi-use grass field, and one synthetic turf field.
  • Tennis courts (3) and pickleball courts (6) are located near the park entrance.
  • A children’s playground with climbing structures, slides, and spring riders is near the picnic areas and includes an adjacent adult fitness zone.
  • A fenced dog park offers separate areas for large and small dogs, plus a one-acre open zone called “The Outback.”
  • An 18-hole disc golf course weaves through the wooded upper park area.
  • A Tree Top Adventure Park with platforms, zip lines, and rope bridges is located near the middle of the park (reservations required).

Trails and Natural Features:

  • About six miles (10 kilometers) of trails support walking, running, biking, and seasonal activities like cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
  • Vista Point is a high-elevation overlook accessible via trails.
  • Three sledding hills are labeled: Sunny Slope (steep), Tower Hill (gradual), and Mellow Meadow (gentle slope).

Visitor Amenities:

  • Multiple restrooms are located near the playground and athletic fields.
  • Group picnic areas include the Ramada Area, Playground Picnic Area, and Picnic Area West.
  • Informational kiosks and trailhead signs are near entrances and trail access points.
  • Parking fees vary by season and day of the week, with payment accepted at kiosks or stations.

Accessibility Notes:

  • The map does not label designated ADA-accessible routes.
  • Many facilities near paved roads and parking areas, including restrooms and the playground, are ADA accessible.
  • Some trails and natural areas may have uneven terrain or be unpaved.

Children’s Playground

This whimsical playground features a play structure for children ages 5 – 12, including climbing bars, slides, hanging bridges and spring rider play equipment. There are also tot swings and traditional swing for older children, and all of the equipment meets current playground safety and ADA standards. Picnic tables are available on a first-come, first-serve basis if not previously reserved.

Fitness Par Course

Enjoy an 18 station fitness par course set in a forest of soaring pine, fir and cedar trees.

Tennis Courts & Pickleball

Baseball Fields & Multipurpose Field

The District maintains 3 softball/baseball fields and 1 multi-use field. Fields are available for rent by filling out Field Rental Form (PDF).

All-Seasons Synthetic Turf Soccer & Lacrosse Field

This brand new, four-season synthetic turf field was installed in 2022 and features 110,000 square feet of playable surface. This field is NCAA regulation size for lacrosse and soccer. Field dimensions are 360 feet x 230 feet. This field is available for rent on a first come, first served basis for pickup games. The field is striped for full field play and for lacrosse. The field is available for rent online by filling out Field Rental Form (PDF).
