NTPUD welcomes Ben Visnyei as new Recreation and Community Events Supervisor

(Tahoe Vista, Calif.) Monday, May 16, 2022 – The North Tahoe Public Utility District (NTPUD) is proud to announce the addition of Benjamin Visnyei as the District’s new Recreation and Community Events Supervisor.
Visnyei is a longtime member of the Kings Beach community and comes to the NTPUD after serving the Boys & Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe for more than 16 years.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ben to the District,” said Bradley A. Johnson, P.E., NTPUD General Manager/CEO. “In this new position with our Recreation & Parks Department, we have the unique opportunity to let Ben build on his incredible history of service to our community, maintain his connections with our local families, and help guide the future of our community-focused recreation program.” 

Benjamin VisnyeiAs Recreation and Community Events Supervisor, Visnyei will be focused on developing the District’s recreation programs and specialty classes, as well as managing the District’s special events throughout the year.

“I am excited to provide recreational opportunities that are responsive to our community’s interests and needs,” said Visnyei. “With all of the great resources throughout the District, I hope to build a recreation program that will support our residents and visitors' physical and mental well-being for many years to come.”

During his tenure with the Boys & Girls Club, Visnyei oversaw the creation of numerous programs, camps, special events, and community traditions. He was instrumental in the Club’s growth and development over the last decade. He created memorable moments on the dodgeball court, soccer field, tennis court, on the mountain, at special events, as well as in day-to-day interactions with his staff, community partners, and volunteers.

The NTPUD and BGCNLT have a long history of partnership to offer residents of North Lake Tahoe recreation opportunities designed for all ages and abilities.
