North Tahoe Regional Park Update - January 29, 2021
Sled and Snowmobile Rentals will be Closed for the 2021 Season
We want to provide our community with an update on the North Tahoe Regional Park's main sled hill. Unfortunately, our concessionaire informed us of the sad news that they have chosen not to operate in the park this season. Due to the challenges presented with opening their sled and snowmobile rentals under COVID-19 restrictions and cleaning protocols, they will not be offering rentals this winter.
However, the North Tahoe Regional Park is fully open to the public and there is plenty of winter fun and sledding access to be had throughout the park. The Park is open from 7a.m. until 5 p.m. each day and the trails are open for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Please note that there is no set schedule for the grooming that occurs on the trails system, we do out best to groom after each storm and throughout the week when possible.
If you choose to sled in the park, you must bring your own sled and we kindly ask that you wear face coverings when around other groups, and please respect social distancing. If you choose to use either the children’s sled hill or the main sled hill, you do so at your own risk on an unmonitored area and we kindly ask you to respect others and stay safe at all times.
Please enjoy this wonderful new snow and stay safe and warm this season!
